The Course is open to students who have obtained a first level degree (Class L-8 or L-9) in Italy.
Students must satisfy specific curricular and personal preparation requirements (see below).
Requests from students who have obtained their degree abroad (in European or non-European universities) are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. For further information, write to bioengineering (bioenginering@unina.it).
Students with a degree class L-8 or L-9 can access the Course provided that they meet specific curricular and personal preparation requirements specified in the teaching regulations of the Degree Course (link to https://www.orientamento.unina.it/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/All_1_2_PianoStudi_LM_2023_2024_v5_ITA.pdf). In particular, students with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering or Biomedical Engineering (L-9) at the University of Naples Federico II automatically satisfy the curricular requirements.
For students who do not meet the curricular requirements, the Teaching Coordination Commission establishes the methods through which the student can make the curricular integrations. Furthermore, students must have achieved a weighted average grade based on the CFU of 24/30 during the first level degree. Finally, a knowledge of the English language of at least B2 level (according to the CEFR scale) is required.
Applications for admission from students who graduated abroad (in European or non-European universities) are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Generally, students who graduated in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering can be admitted. Students are invited to fill out the online form (link to: https://forms.office.com/e/6JHCMgQWqw) and carefully follow the instructions provided.
Students must have a CGPA of at least 8.00/10.00 (min pass 6.00) and a suitable English certificate.
In the event of a positive outcome and upon request, students may receive a pre-acceptance letter to support their student visa application.
The enrollment fee is determined based on the income (University ISEE) and career (number of credits obtained and year of enrollment) of each student.

For EU students the tuition fee is €200/year + €140/year regional taxes and €16 revenue stamp
Non-EU students are exempt from paying the tuition fee but must pay €140/year in regional taxes and a €16 stamp duty
Different agencies periodically launch calls for financing foreign students to study in Italian universities. In particular, the University of Naples Federico II promotes its international courses through the Study in Naples grant for EU and non-EU citizens. Here are the active grants:
