Master’s thesis

The final exam consists in the discussion of a thesis written by the student. The thesis is prepared under the guidance of a supervisor chosen by the student, possibly assisted by co-supervisors. The supervisor has the following duties:

• he attests the profitable performance of the internship
• he guides the student in the preparation of the thesis
• he evaluates the progress of the activities aimed at preparing the thesis and certifies, through the application of his signature, that the conditions exist for the student to undergo the final exam
• he assists the student in the preparation of the final exam

In the calendar of graduation exams there is the indication of the terms within which it is necessary to conclude the exams and present the degree application. The regulaiton and the application form can be found at this link.

The graduation committee computes the graduation mark taking into account:

• the quality of the thesis and its discussion
• the CFU-weighted average mark obtained by the student in the exams included in his curriculum
