Degree award

Every year, the DICMaPI awards the three best students who have completed their Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering between July of the previous year and June of the current year. Graduates with an average mark of at least 28/30 are admitted to the selection. To calculate the score of each graduate, reference is made to the following quantities:

• D = CFU-weighted average mark obtained by the student in the exams included in his curriculum
• M = number identifying the graduation month from July (0) to June (11)
• A = number of years from the enrolment in the Master’s Degree – 2

The score, approximated to the second decimal digit, is equal to D – M/11 – A
If there are candidates with the same score, the one with the highest number of honours prevails. In case of further parity, the youngest candidate prevails. The prize is awarded during the Chemical Engineering Day, which is held annually in September.
